Special-Priced Wine Tasting Flights Are Paired With Romance on California’s Coast
Seven wineries in three days. Sounds like a party as much as romance.
But when paired with the perfect partner, it’s got the potential for a very special Valentine’s Day.
And that’s just what the Ventura County Winery Association had in mind when they created the Valentine ‘N Wine package in conjunction with Ventura hotels.
Couples who book a room at the Crowne Plaza Ventura or Marriott Courtyard Camarillo receive a passport to a tasting at seven coastal wineries for $35 (the non-hotel price is $40 in advance, $45 on-site; better hire a driver for those options).
The flights are for five wines and the price is per person. The wineries are Bella Victorian, Camarillo Custom Crush, Cantara Cellars, Four Brix Winery, Herzog Wine Cellars, Magnavino Cellars, and San Vincente Cellars. Some of the wineries are offering special pricing on bottle and case purchases, food pairings and live entertainment during the weekend.
This special is being offered the weekend prior to Valentine’s Day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 10-12. Valentine’s Day is Tuesday, Feb. 14.
Rates at the Crown Plaza Ventura start at $135 and $129 for the Courtyard Camarillo.
To purchase the flights in advance ($40) without a hotel reservation, visit the Ventura Wine Country Association’s website.
